In the dazzling world of jewellery design, Diana Kinyanjui stands out as a multifaceted entrepreneur, media creative, and jewellery designer with an unyielding passion for her craft. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Diana’s journey has been deeply influenced by her Kenyan heritage, instilling in her a love for diversity and a determination to shatter gender barriers within the creative and corporate spheres.
From a young age, Diana was exposed to the art of jewellery-making, thanks to her mother, Beatrice Kirarithia, who is also a jeweller. The experience of crafting beaded jewellery pieces during her formative years laid the foundation for her future career in the creative design space. However, it wasn’t until 2019 that Diana fully embraced her dream and rebranded her jewellery business, aptly named “Diana Kinyanjui Jewellery,” pursuing it with unwavering dedication.
Reflecting on her entrepreneurial journey, Diana fondly attributes her business’s success to her mother’s profound influence. Beatrice’s expertise and guidance have been a guiding light, propelling Diana towards realizing her craftswoman dream. Nominated for a brand revamp competition initiated by Joe Human, Diana’s talent and determination were recognized, leading her back into the thriving world of jewellery design.
Throughout her journey, Diana has experienced the vibrant pulse of the African jewellery market, which has played a significant role in shaping her craft. Collaborating strategically with TMDS (Themba Mantshiyo Design Studio), she honed her craftsmanship skills, learning to work with various metals from scratch, including brass, copper, and sterling silver. Her repertoire expanded to include prong ring setting and fretwork, showcasing her versatility as a jewellery designer.

Diana’s jewellery pieces have caught the attention of prominent brands and individuals both within South Africa and around the world. Her unique designs have graced the adornments of notable personalities like Mac G, Hulisani Ravele, Tshepo Mohlala, and Yvette Aloe, to name a few. The appreciation and demand for her exquisite craftsmanship have allowed her the opportunity to participate in esteemed events, including the prestigious Street Culture Social Market hosted at the Michelangelo Towers Mall in Sandton, Johannesburg, in December 2021. Furthermore, she was invited to showcase her creations as a small business vendor at the “I Am An Entrepreneur Summit” sponsored by FNB at The Capital on Park in Sandton, Johannesburg, in March 2022.
Despite her forays into the media space, Diana remains steadfast in her dedication to handcrafting unique and custom jewellery pieces. Her entrepreneurial spirit continually drives her to strive for excellence, serving her clients with unparalleled elegance and individuality.
Looking ahead, Diana Kinyanjui envisions expanding her business to better serve her global clientele. With an unwavering commitment to authenticity, creativity, and empowerment, she aspires to reach new heights in the world of jewellery design.
