As part of the 30th Anniversary of the diplomatic Relations between South-Africa and Singapore, MyArts International in partnership with the South-African High Commission to Singapore will be hosting the maiden edition of the South Africa Focus Week in Singapore from the 25th to the 30th of September 2023.
This event will bring together Government institutions and businesses in the manufacturing, agriculture, food production and processing, Wines, Tourism, Property, gold and diamond trade, fashion and creative as well as accessories.
Organisers are putting their best foot forward to create an exciting platform for forging new connections and exploring business opportunities between South Africa and Singapore.
The South Africa Focus Week aims to foster stronger ties between South African businesses and the Singaporean market, while also facilitating a cultural exchange between the two nations.
By bringing together key stakeholders and thought leaders from both countries, organisers of the SA Focus Week in Singapore envision a collaborative environment where ideas are shared, partnerships are formed and economic growth is stimulated.
A series of engaging activities and insightful sessions have been planned to maximize networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities for those who will be traveling to Singapore and those who will be joining online.
The Focus week agenda includes Powerful Business and Investment Presentations where Keynote speakers and industry experts will deliver informative talks and presentations on various sectors, highlighting the potential for collaboration and growth.
Some of the Scheduled activities will take place in the form of exhibition and B2B Meetings. Dedicated time slots will be allocated for one-on-one business meetings, allowing participants to explore potential partnerships, discuss market entry strategies, and forge valuable connections. An exhibition space will be provided for South African companies to showcase their products, services, and innovations, with a specific focus on highlighting their unique offerings to the Singaporean market.
The focus week will also feature a captivating display of South African Film, fashion and other forms of arts and culture curated to introduce Singaporeans to the rich heritage and creative talents of South Africa.
Activities of the week will be kick-started by a Youth Dialogue hosted by the NYDA followed by a Women Dialogue hosted by the Charlotte Maxeke Institute. The focus week will be concluded with a Taste of South-Africa Event featuring Food, Wine, and Gin tasting paired with South-African cuisine where participants will experience the culinary delights of South Africa through a curated tasting session combined with amazing Fashion and beautiful music.
