It’s time to participate in a run with a difference that makes a difference, and to feel good while doing good!
This year’s Hollard Daredevil Run is on track to be the biggest and it’s bravest to date. Thousands of men and boys in purple speedos will running 5km to raise awareness about prostate and testicular cancer countrywide on Friday 13 October 2023.

Daredevils can participate in their own neighborhoods anywhere in the country, while those in Jozi can participate at Zoo Lake at 3pm. Wherever you are, join thousands of brave men as they run cancer outta their hoods, with all proceeds going to CANSA and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of South Africa.
“The latest projections show that prostate cancer will be the most common cancer in South Africa by 2030, so events that raise awareness about the disease are crucial. The Hollard Daredevil Run has become the leading event that focuses on male specific cancers,” says Andrew Oberholzer, CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of South Africa.
“Through CANSA’s ongoing partnership with the Hollard Daredevil Run, we’ve empowered tens of thousands of men with education on early cancer signs and symptoms. With the CANSA Hollard ManVan, we’ve travelled thousands of kilometres to reach men in hard-to-reach and underserved communities, where they receive free cancer screenings and educational talks,” says Joani Sadie, Corporate Relationship Manager at CANSA. “Early detection and education save lives, and we can continue to raise awareness and offer lifesaving screenings through the support we receive from the Hollard Daredevil Run.”

The Hollard Daredevil Run has become a nationwide phenomenon since it first started in 2009, raising eyebrows and raising awareness about prostate and testicular cancer. “The act of running in only a speedo is not only challenging for runners, but also challenges stereotypes about male cancers,” says Joanna Mondon, Head of Brand and Advertising at Hollard.
“This event also expressing solidarity with those men and their families who are dealing with prostate and testicular cancer, which is a big part of what makes this run so special.”
