“Tshwane East has been hit hard by water shortages, leaving communities desperate. MANZI Water is working tirelessly to meet the soaring demand,” said Alfred Challis, CEO of MANZI Water.
Since last Friday, the water crisis has left residents in dire straits. “Our outlets are under immense pressure, with stock selling out rapidly as people wait in long queues,” said Deon van den Berg, Head of Marketing. Supplies are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, with water being trucked in from surrounding areas.
Despite compromised supply, MANZI Water is pulling together resources from nearby outlets in Northcliff and Brits. “While this doesn’t fully resolve the shortage, our network’s support is invaluable,” Van den Berg added.
Elaborating more broadly on the need for a safe, clean drinking water supply in the area, MANZI Water CEO, Alfred Challis, added that MANZI Water will be opening two additional outlets in August 2024, located in Mooikloof Village in Mooikloof and in Silver Mall in Silverton, to meet the increasing demand for safe, clean drinking water in the area.
“We will continue to prioritise the needs of our customers to the best of our ability, as ensuring the safety and availability of water is of great importance to us,” Challis concluded.
