From Free Tastings to Festival Feasts – Celebrating Africa’s Rich Flavors and Cultures
Edenvale, South Africa – In celebration of Africa Day, Ethnic Lounge is
transforming into a vibrant cultural hub, offering locals a passport-free journey across the
continent’s diverse culinary landscapes from 23-25 May.
The weekend kicks off with an enticing FREE tasting event on Friday, 23 May (2PM-7PM), where
guests can sample Africa’s most iconic dishes. “We’re bringing the continent’s greatest food
debates to life,” says Raymond Kpojime, Partner at Ethnic Restaurant. “From the legendary Jollof
rice rivalry to East Africa’s smoky nyama choma, it’s a chance to explore what makes each
region’s cuisine unique.”
For those who can’t join the in-person festivities, Ethnic Lounge extends the experience beyond
its walls. “Food is about connection,” notes Raymond Kpojime. “We’re bringing the warmth of
African hospitality to homes and offices with specially curated feasts that showcase our
continent’s incredible diversity.”
