A bold fusion of live music, curated culture, and stylish sport awaits at Johannesburg’s signature lifestyle experience from Stella Artois. Tennis whites and statement shades encouraged.
Johannesburg’s cultural calendar gets a stylish shake-up this July with the return of the Stella Artois Soirée: The Tennis Edition, set to transform James & Ethel Gray Park into a one-day celebration of music, fashion, gourmet food, and social sport on Saturday, 12 July.
The Soirée has evolved into one of the city’s most anticipated lifestyle experiences – day-long events where culture and connection meet in an effortlessly stylish setting.
This year’s edition is no exception, with a headline music lineup that includes Ami Faku, Lamiez Holworthy, Manana, Azana, Lloyiso, Babalwa M, Buhle Mbongwana and Da Kruk – each bringing their own signature sound, from Afro-pop to Afro-house and soul, to the stage.
“This is one of those events where people come to connect – with each other, with music, with the energy of the city. I’m really looking forward to that feeling of being in the right place, with the right people, all at the right moment,” says singer Ami Faku, ahead of her performance.
As part of Stella Artois’ global ‘Perfect Serve’ platform, The Soirée: Tennis Edition draws a deliberate parallel between the perfectly served beer and the perfect serve in tennis – a symbolic connection of elegance, craft, and culture. The event follows the recent debut of the Stella Artois Racquet Club globally and in South Africa earlier this month.
Alongside the music, guests can expect a rich blend of activations and experiences throughout James & Ethel Gray Park – all designed to entertain and engage.
Gourmet food offerings will include curated picnic setups, a tasting table by Food I Love You, fresh seafood by The Prawnery, flame-grilled ribs and wings from The Wing Republic, and street-style dim sum with designer flair.
