The highly anticipated TCG: Pokémon Mega Evolution will be dropping in stores across South Africa on the 10th of October. Fans, collectors and newbies alike will be thrilled to unwrap and discover all the fun and awesomeness of this expansion! Get to stores early to avoid disappointment!
Initially revealed on Pokémon Day 2025, Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution marks the first expansion in the upcoming Mega Evolution Series, which will feature the return of Mega Evolution Pokémon to the trading card game. Fans will remember that these mighty Pokémon first appeared in the XY Series and were last seen in the Sun & Moon Series. In this new expansion, players get to discover and collect cards that feature powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, including Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex.
What makes this expansion exciting?
Mega Evolution Pokémon ex are powerful and equipped with increased HP and attack damage, and yet will give up only three Prize cards when Knocked Out. In addition, Mega Evolution Pokémon ex appear as Basic Pokémon, Stage 1 Pokémon or Stage 2 Pokémon and do not need an extra Evolution step.
New art style
Mega Evolution Players and collectors can look forward to unwrapping a new art style for ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, featuring a silhouette of the regular version of that Pokémon alongside its Mega Evolution. For example, Lucario’s silhouette next to Mega Lucario.
Ultra Rare
Mega Evolution will also expand ultra rare cards beyond Pokémon and Supporter cards, with the introduction of ultra rare Item, Stadium and Pokémon Tool cards. Fans, collectors, players and newbies are in for a treat!

- 10 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- More than 15 Trainer cards

- 10 special illustration rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and Supporter cards
