The Luxurious Marble Circus returned in spectacular style, transforming The Ground in Muldersdrift into a haven of indulgence. Among the highlights was Don Julio Tequila, which elevated the celebration with a tequila-led experience that reflected its signature of luxury.
Under the warm spring sun, festivalgoers flocked to the Don Julio Tequila Temple to experience Mexico’s leading luxury tequila through a culinary surprise and delight that quickly became a weekend highlight. Guests sipped on refreshing Don Palomas and Don Margaritas as they explored a first-of-its-kind Tequila Oyster Bar, where freshly shucked oysters met Don Julio’s smooth, iconic notes in a bold pairing, hinting at what could easily become the flavour craze of the summer.
“At Don Julio, we believe every sip tells a story, one of craft, heritage, and unforgettable moments,” said Theo Zulu, Marketing Manager of Tequila & Rum South, West and Central Africa at Diageo. “The Luxurious Marble Circus was the perfect stage to bring that fusion and story to life. We created a space where guests could connect, celebrate, and experience tequila in a truly luxurious way.”
Honouring its legacy of taste and craftsmanship, Don Julio’s culinary experience showcased the crisp agave and bright citrus notes of its Blanco expression, paired with the briny freshness of oysters and a touch of Tabasco heat. The fusion offered a clean, bold, and flavourful experience, giving guests a true taste of summer indulgence. Don Julio and oysters? More please!
Across the LMC grounds, more than 40 brand activations unfolded alongside iconic performances from Oskido, DJ Zinhle, Maphorisa, Kelvin Momo, Shekhinah, Soweto Gospel Choir, Laura Zimmermann, and Amy Wiles. The expanded Main Stage, now twice its original size, stood as the heartbeat of the Circus, while new experiences such as the La Vaulta Spectaculum trampoline-powered stage and the Wheel of Wonder added layers of surprise and delight.
This year’s festivities came alive as a dazzling fusion of music, fashion, food, and art, with every space thoughtfully designed to draw guests deeper into a world of wonder.
It has become clear that the festival has transcended beyond festival status, becoming an opulent celebration of festival culture, with Don Julio as a toasting companion to one of South Africa’s most luxurious experiences.
