Crocworld Conservation Centre was honoured to host an inspiring community outreach initiative alongside Made for More, Wild Alliance Africa, and Mission Blue, bringing together youth from Amahlongwa, Amandawe, Umthwalume, and Malangeni for a day of conservation awareness and fun! Made for More works to include, equip, and empower people with disabilities through community, faith, and sport.
They connected with leading wildlife conservation facility, Crocworld in Scottburgh, as well as conservation NPOs Wild Alliance Africa and Mission Blue Hope Spot for animal interactions and educational sessions on biodiversity and conservation challenges. The programme highlighted the importance of the local Marine Protected Area: Aliwal Shoal, which is a Mission Blue Hope Spot, one of the world’s critical marine ecosystems. The day ended with a scenic and educational visit to the Green Point Lighthouse.
