This summer, Johnnie Walker showed up at the heart of Cape Town’s most influential cultural moments, bringing the AfroExchange ethos to life across Jerk & Jollof, Wav Festival, and Milk & Cookies. Each event formed part of the Johnnie Walker AfroExchange Summer Tour a cultural experience celebrating collaboration, creativity, and progress through music, food, and shared experience.
Cultural exchange happened through the blending of the Northeast African and Caribbean cultures at Jerk & Jollof; the high-energy, forward-moving musical scenes showcased during Wav Festival and the more intimate exploration of contemporary day and nightlife at Milk & Cookies. Johnnie Walker experienced the real-time progression of how culture will develop through both community and cultural channels.
Through authentic influencer storytelling, Johnnie Walker embedded itself not as a spectator, but as an active participant in moments where African creativity is shaped, celebrated, and shared.
The journey doesn’t stop here. Johnnie Walker will once again raise a glass at Milk & Cookies on the 10th, continuing the AfroExchange Summer Tour and inviting consumers to experience these cultural moments as what they truly are steps forward in a collective movement.
