Supporting Excellence in Academics, Sport, and the Arts
As South African learners continue to excel in sport, culture, and the performing arts, Trinityhouse Schools have reaffirmed their commitment to helping pupils thrive both in and beyond the classroom. With a focus on holistic development and personalised support, Trinityhouse ensures that students who compete at provincial, national, and international levels are equipped, academically, emotionally, and logistically, to pursue their passions without compromising their education.
This commitment is reflected in the extraordinary success of Jadeline Gardner-Sandiford, a Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge pupil who has proudly returned home as a World Champion, representing SASCOC and DanceSport South Africa on the global stage.
Balancing international travel, intense training schedules, and schoolwork is no easy task, yet Jadeline continues to excel with the full backing of her Trinityhouse school community.
A Trinityhouse spokesperson shares: “We believe in growing well-rounded young people who pursue excellence in both their academics and their passions. When a student becomes a World Champion, it is a shared achievement. Our role is to make that journey possible, manageable, and inspiring.”

For Jadeline, whose competitions often fall during South Africa’s exam periods, the school’s flexibility has been essential. “International DanceSport is incredibly demanding,” she says. “Trinity has always understood that. They help structure my workload around training, competitions, and travel, and that support makes it so much easier to manage both dance and academics.”
Her teachers also ensure she remains aligned with her classmates while travelling: “I always take work with me, and my friends send me notes so I can stay on track. Competing internationally is exciting, but I’ve learnt to plan my days carefully: training, rest, and schoolwork. Representing South Africa is a privilege, and staying committed academically is part of that responsibility.”
Trinityhouse’s academic adjustments have made a tangible difference: “The school moves assessments when needed, and my teachers give me study guides and notes in advance. They often meet with me before or after school to go through work I missed. They even allow classmates to record revision sessions, so I do not lose out on important explanations.”
But it is not only academics that matter. Trinityhouse places strong emphasis on emotional and mental well-being.
A Trinityhouse spokesperson continues: “Excellence can be intense. Our duty is to protect, uplift, and support our pupils holistically. It is important that they feel confident and cared for, not overwhelmed.”
This support has been invaluable for Jadeline, who has competed in Croatia, Greece, Latvia, Brazil, and Belgium this year alone, ultimately securing her World Champion title.
“My teachers regularly checked in to make sure I was not overloaded. They even adjusted my exams when I returned home so I had time to prepare. My friends and dance teacher keep me grounded too; they motivate me and help me catch up on work by giving me time off to focus when I need it.”
Having her school champion her dance career means the world to her: “Trinity does not see dance as a distraction; they see it as a strength. Their belief in me gives me the confidence to represent both Trinityhouse and South Africa with pride.”
Now a World Champion, Jadeline reflects on the journey that brought her here, a journey strengthened by determination, family support, and a school that believes deeply in nurturing individual talent.
Her advice to fellow students is: “Join Trinityhouse, a school that truly believes in your talents. Plan well, communicate with your teachers, and stay passionate. You can excel in both academics and your sport or cultural activity with the right support.”
Trinityhouse Schools proudly celebrate her remarkable achievement and remain committed to supporting every student who dares to dream on the world stage.
